Vishal Sharma
Vishal was a founding member of the Indo-Caribbean Caribbean Association, contributing since late 2020. He contributed to the design of the organization, including research on heritage and religious topics in the community. Vishal continues to provide strategic advice and informational gathering support to the organization.
Nerissa Sarawan
Nerissa was a founding member of the Indo-Caribbean Canadian Association, joining in April 2021. Her work, including continuous research on the community, built the foundation of the organization. Nerissa brought a different lens to our work as a mixed-race person, and lead in efforts to combat anti-Black racism.
Reshad Ali
Reshad was a volunteer from May 2022 to July 2023. Previous to this, he was a guest speaker during our LGBTQ+ events and a mentor in the Star Bhai Youth Mentorship Progam. During his tenure, he supported the development of EPIC (Equality and Pride for Indo-Caribbeans) as well as serving as the inaugural Chair.
Ricky Sookram
Ricky was a volunteer from July 2022 to June 2024. During his tenure, he served as the Vice-Chair of the Indo-Caribbean Canadian Association and as the Chair of the Star Bhai Youth Mentorship Program, elevating the program to operate a monthly workshop and streamline operations.
